Residents in Coimbatore are growing increasingly desperate for the vaccine as the district remains the worst hit in the state.
People started queueing at Rakkipalayam panchayat union middle school at 9 pm on Friday to get a vaccination token. The line had grown to around 800 to 1,000 people by 7.30 am on Saturday, with everyone hoping to get their hands on 500 tokens.
